Presbyterian Support USI- Family Works
Family Works is a Presbyterian Support social service, helping build safer, stronger, more connected whānau/families and communities. When tamariki are safe they feel secure and protected. Strong families have the ability to bounce back from adversity and being connected helps whānau feel supported and included in their communities.
Our services are tailored to meet the needs of each child, young person, parent and whānau, while building on the strengths they already have. Informed by research and evidence, we support people to reach positive solutions.
Counselling and social work
When life, events or issues feel too big for your children/tamariki and whānau, we're here to support you so you can build healthy relationships and grow a strong family.
Support for children and young people
Our Family Works team will provide support and practical assistance for your tamariki and young people to help them feel safe and connected.
Support for parents
There is no guide book when it comes to parenting. Fortunately, our Family Works team offer a number of parenting programmes designed to help you and your tamariki thrive.
Financial assistance
Our team will help you understand money, live on a budget, and access the Youth Payment or Young Parent Payment and work your way to financial stability.
